Poznań District is the proud location of many architectural monuments, such as castles, manor houses and churches. Anyone who wishes to get to know the District, can go on a sightseeing tour along the Kórnik Route (around 80km long), marked with brown hexagonal boards, or the Piast Route or take a biking tour along the Poznań District Bicycle Ring. Poznań District is a part of the Wielkopolska Landlake (Pojezierze Wielkopolskie) and is characterized by numerous postglacial forms, particularly on both sides of the Warta River. Forests cover up to 42 thousand hectares, with the biggest complexes: the National Park of Wielkopolska Region and landscape parks of Zielonka and Rogalin and Promno Primeval Forests, as well as 11 nature preservation areas.
